Is there a OS 9 version of Adium?
Sorry; Adium is only available for Mac OS X.
Are there plans to make one?
Unfortunately, Adium is written with very Mac OS X specific code — mostly Cocoa, with some Carbon as well. Neither Cocoa, nor some parts of Carbon that we use, are available on Mac OS 9; without these, Adium cannot run on Mac OS 9.
Alternative suggestions
Please look on Macupdate to see if there are any clients that may work for you. Otherwise you may want to start looking at moving to OS X.
