Preference for message placement in chat window

Description

Adium starts adding messages to a chat window at the bottom and then moves them up as messages are added. I would like a preference to have the messages start at the top of the chat window, add new ones below until the chat window is full and then move messages up as new ones are added. My desired change would make Adium behave like iChat.
