XMPP conference rooms show user still in room after client has left room

Description

Summary: Client fails to show other adium users have exited a conference room even though they have.

Details: Mac OS 10.4.8 Adium v. 1.0 Jabber server - Jabberd 1.4 (I believe) We routinely join a conference room in the morning and leave it running all day. Normal behavior is that the roster on the right reflects only active (online) users. However, with the latest release (non-svn) of Adium we have noticed that Adium users are not being notified when other Adium users leave a conference room. However, GAIM users do see the standard "userx has left the room" notices. This seems to affect only Adium users. Adium users do see GAIM users leave the chat but not other Adium users.

No, it should be XMPP :)

Additionally, in Adium 1.0.1 I can see nick renames in the message list, but they aren't reflected in the list of online users.

Any change in 1.0.2 or the latest 1.0.3 beta? Does there appear to be any relevant console output for this? Try out the beta and see if there's any relevant logs for this and attach them here. If you're not sure if they're relevant or not, attach the whole log.

The latest release 1.0.2 still exhibits this behavior. I also downloaded the latest beta. In our testing, I left the conference room, then rejoined it. None of the Adium users saw me leave and rejoin. I then observed other Adium users attempt to leave and rejoin. None of this showed up as activity in the conference room. This is still an outstanding issue.

It's always best also to include the debug log from when this occurs. If you can (while using the beta) go to the Adium menu then Debug window. Check the box to enable debug logging and follow the directions here for info on where to find the log and how to attach it (rather than post it as part of a text comment).
