Reconnect after sleep not working with 10.4.4

Description

As the title says, after upgrading no account automatically connects after sleep anymore.

Please use the 0.88 beta and post the output of the Console (not the Adium Debug Log) as you:

  1. Start Adium
  2. Connect
  3. Sleep the computer
  4. Wake the computer

I checked it two times now and it seems to be working. I'll try it some more over the course of this beta and report back.

Ok, after testing this even more it seems to be fine now. It's weird because it definitely didn't connect the first couple of times but now it does without a hiccup. So if nobody else is having problems I guess this could be closed. :)

I open this ticket again, because everytime after sleep all my connections have the state "Abbrechen" (in german). In english this should be "Cancel" or "Abort". I use AdiumX 0.88 and OS X 10.4.4. The network configuration is a WLAN to a router with a permanent DSL-Link to the Internet.

I have this problem when using Adium through a GPRS connection. If the connection drops then Adium won't reconnect to anything other than Bonjour after I have reconnected (and in Bonjour there is just myself - but there's a seperate bug report on that from others). I therefore have to quit and restart when it starts no problem.

  • This should fix some oddities with connect-disconnect cycles new to our use of libgaim 2.0.0. I also made it not set as as "should not be online" after the reconnect attempts (5) fail... this should cause adium to retry the reconnect next time the network connectivity state toggles to available, which is generally the desired behavior since a connect failure is often a 'net failure. I'm going to say this (especially combined with other reconnect improvements already present in 1.0svn versus 0.8x) closes a bunch of our generic and 1.0svn-specific reconnection problem tickets, which are mostly duplicates of one another in any case. Fixes #3482, #3006, #2662, #2778, #2375, #1906, #3562.
