Hello,

This also happened with 0.83. After I update the version by dropping the new version over the older version, all is fine. I started up Adium, all seems normal. But when I open a chat box to chat with someone, the program freezes, starts to use a lot of GPU power, than won't respond. This happens too when I try to go into Preferences option of the program.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.2

Which message style are you using? Does this happen if you remove all 3rd party addons?

Mine was doing the same thing... it was one of my 3rd party addons that was the problem (pushpin styling for the messages) and since I've removed it, the program seems to be working fine. Hope that helps!
